> Basic Functions
> Participate in assessments of potential impacts of climate
> change; manage specific chapters or subject areas; synthesize
> scientific information regarding climate change and climate

> 1. Support preparation of draft assessment
> chapters and summaries (percentage of time: 60%;

> 1.1 Work with lead author teams of IPCC assessments to
> assemble and edit draft chapters, including travel to
> meetings, correspondence with authors, identification of
> missing information and literature, review/editing of drafts,
> and collation of external review comments.

> 1.2 Work with and supervise other members of the TSU to
> help coordinate chapters and sections of the assessments,
> synthesizing information on cross-cutting themes and issues;
> evaluate progress, establish staff priorities, and obligate task
> monies to meet deadlines imposedby the IPCC as part of its
> mandate to provide timely inputs to the UNFCCC.
> 1.3 Contribute to writing portions of technical summaries,
> summaries for policymakers, and other summary
> documents; write articles in the peer-reviewed literature in
