I couldn't agree more. Don't let him to provoke any of us! If we leave his
messages unanswered perhaps he stops sending them. Am I too optimistic here?

I am looking for a US book dealer who would be likely to have the
English language translation of the book, Eclipse of the Crescent Moon,
by Geza Gardonyi. I believe an English language translation was
published in Hungary as recently as the 1990's.

A grandmother wants to begin reading it to her English speaking
grandchildren !

Any pointers to a source will be greatly appreciated

Most of the Magyars in Transylvania are Roman Catholic, however there
is a sizable percentage of Reformatus, (Calvanists.)

Dear newsgroup readers,

Can anyone offer some *real* assistance on Win95, WordPerfect 7 and the
layout
for the Intenational keyboard? How do I set them up? Why cant I see the
"Central
European distiction next to the fonts?. Why is it that "Works" displays
5 different
Times New Roman fonts after doing multilanguage support in "Windows Setup"
but I
cannot get those SAME fonts to come up in Wordperfect 7?

Serious replies and help appreciated in advance,
Mike. :)

Talán az -n, -m, -ny végződésű helynevek esetében el lehet képzelni mégis
valami indokot (ami mást jelent, mint csupán a mai helyzetet leírni és
valami szabályt megfogalmazni): azért van, mert különben túl sok lenne az
m n tipusú hang a szó végén: Debrecenen, Komáromon, Tihanyon. Gyors beszédben
nem is hallatszana tisztán a rag.

A possible answer: Because Marshall Mannerheim despite his Russian wife and his

life long service in the Imperial Russian Army, (or maybe exactly because of
these facts) was not a Marshall Malinowsky. If you wish to find more details on

this check the Hungarian section of the NEMZET Internet News dated back early
December of 1996. The title is: "Torok, vagy Finn".

Well, Native Canadians constitute the same percentage and there is no
university for them, however there has been a considerable increase in
aboriginal studies and courses. Matter of fact, several businesses and
banks offer scholarships specifically for Native Canadians. Are there any
Romani studies or courses offered in Hungarian universities?

There are much more in Romania. They are busy protecting their homes from
immolation. And in the Czech & Slovak Republics, they are forming posses
to protect themselves from murderous skinheads.

If you want to know where some Roma are in Hungary, I'd advise you buy
yourself a ticket on the Fekete Vonat leaving Budapest Friday evening --
follow the tamborine man. Sometime during the last half of the 1980's the
city council of Gyor (if memory serves me right) had developed a plan to
move all the Rom out of Gyor and place them in an out-of-the-way suburb, a
sort of Hungarian lite-version of Ceausescu's systemization plan.

It is both gratifying and sad that some Americans have more understanding
and better appreciation of the struggle for freedom and the suffering of
Hungarians than...

Thank you Mr. Mamilton. You remind me why I am so proud to be an American
citizen.
