I feel disappointed by this translation, the original is much better!
and seems to speak more about a human relation, an attitude.
olyan ... amilyen ... = such ... as ...
adjonisten = an old salutation (still used) based on "may God give" [a good day
]
fogadjisten = answer to it, same outlook and use of fogad = accept
Something like: Just like the "good day!", such will be the "same for you!"
(meaning the tone, or the real feelings behind the polite words)

A better translation would be the English (American) saying:
'what goes around, comes around'. Which is not to say that
occasional bad experience of Romanian speakers in areas almost
exclusively populated by Hungarians is either commensurable to or
justification for the anti-Hungarian measures by the state...

write today reject the pseudo-science of certain emigre groups.

i agree, but it's nice to think about the possible connections...
Carlton Coon is professionally tenuous to these ideas however, his
approach to physical anthro has received plenty of noise for being
superfluous, if not outright off-track.
Better, might be works of Barath Tibor, or Ida Bobula and their students.
I wonder if there are any currently accepted academicians in hu working on
these questions of origin?

In case you are not familiar with her life, the Guinness Book of Records
(1994) provides the following information:
The greatest number of victims ascribed to a murderess was 610,
in the case of Countess Erzsebet Bathory (1560-1614) of Hungary.
All of her victims were alleged to be young girls from near her
castle at Csejthe, where she died on 21 Aug. 1614. She had been
walled up in her room for 3 1/2 years after being found guilty.
I might note that some of the details vary from source but most of them
indicate that she bathed in the blood of her victims, hoping to preserve her
youth and beauty.

The typical Usenet answer to such a question is that "there are many
travel guides providing that kind of info"... Since I find that a
bit too short and quite unhelpful, I will try to help a bit.
1. Place to see:
You will like Budapest as much as all those who have visited it
before you do. For a first time in town, there is no way to escape
the sightseeing tour. Places of interest include the bend of the
Danube, the Parliament, Andrassy Ut (the local Champs Elysées) and
the Opera, Varosliget park, the Chain Bridge, the Royal Castle and
Castle Hill, the Citadel ... A travel guide will tell you that and
much more.
Two little tips:
- the tramway line nr.2 is the cheapest way to see half of those
site quite cheap. It goes along the Danube up to the Chain Bridge
and then goes into Pest along the Parliament.
- there is a turn-of-the-century funicular climbing to Castle hill.
It has been refurbished a few years ago and provides a very
spectacular panorama. To do absolutely.
Try to see something more than just Budapest. Places of interest
include Gyor and Sopron near the Austrian border, Kecskemet and Pecs
to the south. The famous Puszta plain is to be seen as well.

Yes, you're right. I got an e-mail from a gentleman who wrote me a lot
of information about J. Dsida. It's a real pity he hasn't posted in s.c.m
so that others learn things as well. ( I thought he would just cc-mail
me but I couldn't see his poster so far. )

What about "night" for "ejszaka" ? :-))
This one was my grandpa's favourite as well. True enough, he fought in WWII
and he was a POW in Siberia for some five years...
It's an outstanding poem indeed.
