SYMPOSIUM On Experimental
Solid Mechanics
Scope of the Symposium
The purpose is to provide a social and scientific environment to young
researchers, engineers and students in the field of Experimental Mechanics
of Solids, to present and discuss the current state of their work and to
evaluate the impact of the discipline on the scientific development and on
the modern organisation of the industrial world.
Contributions, works in progress, cases studies of new and promising
application are welcome.
Suggested topics are:
- Methods and Techniques
- Engineering Applications
- Experimental Methods Management
- Teaching strategies
- Computer Assisted Testing
- Experimental and Virtual Methods Interaction
- Biomechanics Applications
- Materials
All the authors of the presented contributions must have an age less or equal
to 35 years. They are requested to submit an extended summary in ac
amera-ready form on paper and on disc, according to the print instructions in
the attachment (Times New Roman 10 pt in Microsoft Word or in any other Word
Processor, like Textures, but in PDF format), in English language of no more
than two printed pages (A4), including tables and figures. Transmission via
E-mail is the preferred form: in this latter case expedition of paper copies
and discs must be avoided. It is recommend to utilise only one way to send
the contributions (via E-mail OR by post). The deadline for submitting the
summaries is 15th, June 2001.
